William J. Cotton, "Billy" 85. Passed on February 19th. He was the husband of the late Eleanor R. (Bessette) Cotton. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late William and Florence (Larocque) Cotton. He retired from Slater Screen and Print after many years. He was an Air Force Veteran. Mr. Cotton was an avid Golfer, a Red Sox, Giants and New York Rangers fan. He was a past president and lifetime member of Societe Jacques Cartier and Sams C.C. and the founder of the Cotton Club Golf League at Chemawa Club, Attleboro. He was also a 27-year friend of Bill W.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Gargano, and Susan Cotton and her wife Terry Cotton, a granddaughter, Katelyn Gargano, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norman J. Cotton and father-in-law of the late John Gargano.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, February 24th at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (dav.org) www.thekeefefuneralhome.com.
